Reiki is a spiritual healing practice developed in the early 20th century by Mikao Usui in Japan. While some believe its roots extend much further back, the generally accepted history begins with Usui Sensei. Here’s a short overview:

  • Mikao Usui’s Discovery (Early 1900s): According to tradition, Mikao Usui, a Japanese scholar interested in healing, underwent a profound spiritual experience on Mount Kurama near Kyoto.
